Another ear infection
So, the adenoid removal was not the miracle I had hoped for. It did stop the snoring and Sofia does sleep much better and she can sleep on a flat bed which are wonderful things by themselves but I was hoping we would see the end of ear infections. I was wrong. The cold has rolled into Prague and has brought all the wonderful germs with it. Sofia and I have been sick for the last couple days. My illness was very minor compared to Sofia. The poor girl has ear infections in both ears and 103.9 fever. This is Sofia's second cold since adenoid removal and it is her second ear infection as well. So, while removing the adenoids took care of the constant ear infections it hasn't stopped the ear infections everytime a cold arrives. I guess it was too much to expect. Hopefully she will grow out of the ear infections soon. If she is like her parents though she is doomed for many more.

has she had tubes?
No she hasn't. We avoided the tubes by keeping her bed elevated on one end. She has slept flat since having her adenoids out which has been great. I guess we will see how this winter goes and if she continues to have ear infections we will have to consider it.
tubes were great for Ben
I feel for you...My two boys used to get constant ear infections. I held off on Hunter waiting for him to out grow it. He never did and I just put ear tubes in at almost 6! Ty also has them and they put his in at 9 months (I was much smarter the next time around)but now, one just fell out. I am not looking forward to winter with one tube! Happy Birthday!
