Birthday Party
Today we went to a birthday party for Jose Miguel, a boy in Sofia's class. The kids had a blast running around and playing on the mats. They were really excited when the clown showed up. It was funny how the clown had to keep telling the kids to back up since they would back up when asked but would creep right back to where they were in a matter of seconds. The clown made them balloons and made big bubbles and all fun things that the kids loved. After the clown was done it was pinata time. They had a giant pinata which the kids all took turns hitting with a giant stick. Apparently there is also a song that is sung when the kids are hitting the pinata. I didn't know what the words were since it was sung in Spanish but since it was a catchy tune I looked it up. Here are the words if you are interested.
Dale, dale, dale. No pierdas el tino. Porque si lo pierdes. Pierdes el camino.Ya le diste una. Ya le diste dos. Ya le diste tres. Y tu tiempo se acabó.
English: Hit it, hit it, hit it. Don’t loose your aim. Because if you loose it. You loose the way.You hit it once. You hit it twice. You hit it three times. And your time is up.
Here is the video of Sofia giving it a go at the pinata.
