What to do in France...

We went to the Loire Valley mainly to see the Chateau scattered around the area but we also wanted to enjoy French culture and French food. When we arrived on Saturday we just hung out and walked into town to check things out. After getting up early we were all pretty tired so we just wanted to take it easy. On Sunday in Amboise is the open air market. This was a site to see. The market was huge and just seemed to keep going. There were vendors selling flowers, straw bags, seafood, salami/sausage, cheese, fruit/vegetables, clothings, cookware, meat/chicken, bread, desserts, wine, ready made food like rotisserie chicken and paella. We spent the entire morning walking through the market. We bought so much stuff that we ended up walking back to the guy selling the straw bags and bought one so we would have something to carry all our goodies. It was hard to not buy everything. I had to keep reminded myself that I didn't have to buy 3 loaves of bread at once b/c I could just go out in the morning and get a nice fresh loaf.

We went back to our house for lunch and Ali's nap. That was pretty much our schedule every day...out in the morning and then back for Ali's nap and lunch. Lunch consisted mainly of bread, salami/sausage and goat cheese every day. It was so good and we just can't get those items in Prague so we ate a years worth in one vacation.
