Divoká Šárka
Last weekend we went to Divoká Šárka. It is a huge nature preserve in Prague. It is about a 20 min tram ride from our apartment. We enjoyed the day there but didn't see much of the park. We ventured into the park on the paved walkway and quickly came upon a field that had a hill that we decided to climb. There was a dirt path so I figured I would just push the stroller up the hill. That worked out fine and you did get a nice view from the top of the hill but it wasn't a place we could hang out with the kids since the side opposite the hill that we climbed up was a cliff. We ventured back down the hill and along the paved path. We were hoping to find a large green field we had seen from the top of the hill. After about a 10 minute walk we came upon the big green field and that is where we spent the afternoon. It was so pleasant to just sit in the grass and lets the kids run around and play. It was hard to believe that we were so close to a city. We really felt separated from the hustle and bustle of life.
